Breaking news for Assassin Creed fans and those anticipating the next generation of consoles, as a new VG 24/7 article was just posted with reports that the site for Ubisoft’s new Assassin Creed game will come out October 29 this year…
“Also on Next Gen”
The game, which has already suffered various leaks in the last few days, was first hinted at earlier this month by Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot. Stating only that multiple teams were working on different chapters in the franchise. Following that, Tuesday morning, Kotaku released a picture of a promotional poster for the game. The game was all but confirmed, until Ubisoft finally came out and officially announced it earlier today.
Which until now we could have just expected were just a couple of leaks for a game that was an all but confirmed current gen triple-A sequel, but this most recent (and for Ubisoft, hopefully last) slip up came from the game’s promotional website, which has since not surprisingly been taken down. Thanks to Gematsu and DarkZero, we have pictures of the site, which featured a countdown to Monday, the already known full reveal, a trailer, and a preorder button. All nonchalantly placed above the words,
“also coming to next gen
The release date for the next gen consoles is of course the bigger news aside from the fact that the new Assassins Creed will come out on both current and next gen console. Aside from this and the plethora of other leaks plaguing the release of the next gen consoles, it now seems like it’s Microsoft’s move to make, and to announce their platform before their, and Sony’s, consoles are both fully revealed at E3, and released later this year.
